Summary:


 


 


 


The VP of Human Resources is responsible for directing all the people functions of the Corporation in accordance with the policies and practices of the company, ethical guidelines of the business and the laws and regulations governing employment.  This position is responsible for strategic Human Resource planning enabling the Corporation to attract, develop and retain the necessary talent to run the business.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:


 





  • Works with other executives to develop and implement human resources objectives that align with and support Company strategies.



  • Develops and implement staffing processes to meet the Company’s talent needs.



  • Develops competitive compensation and benefit programs



  • Collaborates with the President, Human Resource and Compensation Committees to develop a competitive executive compensation plan.



  • Develops processes to identify employee development needs for succession planning, and to enhance employee skills and knowledge needed to improve the business.



  • Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of peoples resources of the Company. Including, would-be programs for employee relations, diversity awareness, preventing sexual harassment, handling employee complaints and reinforcing corporate values.




 


Education and/or Experience:


 





  • Master’s Degree in Business or Human Resources-preferred



  • 10-15 years of Human Resource executive experience.



  • Experienced in developing and implementing talent development, succession planning and performance management processes.



  • An experienced presenter at the Board of Director level with executive compensation and benefits issues.



  • A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.



  • An excellent facilitator skilled at conflict resolution and building teams.



  • An effective communicator with all levels in the organization.
