The Director Human Resources leads and directs the Human Resources Generalist functions as a strategic business partner.  Directs and provides guidance to talent management, management development, and operations teams.  Lead business partner role to design/deliver timely policy/guideline interpretation, and actively engages the business to achieve their business and people objectives.  Ensures compliance with all State and Federal laws, HR policies, practices and communications.  Directs and manages proactive planning and day-to-day solutions for all HR Generalist related initiatives.


 


 


 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides HR consulting expertise to all levels of management and employees
• Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolve through a systematic and analytical approach, including investigations and focus groups, as appropriate
• Drives alignment of work processes of Human Resources initiatives
• Strategically drives and recommends business process consistencies across the multi-units
• Balances needs of the multi-units with all initiatives and prioritize needs
• Implements organizational HR initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness, including performance management systems (compensation, mid-year and year-end reviews), talent development, organizational design, and culture development
• Champions culture by embracing the values of the organization and role modeling behavior; ensures the organization embraces the same values • Identifies key training needs and develops plans and timelines for design and delivery
• Consults with management team to effectively recruit and retain staff, including identification of openings, ensuring job descriptions are developed and accurate, sourcing for key talent, and retention of employees; actively participates in all interviews
• Participates in and ensures on boarding for all new employees is consistent as well as successfully prepares employees for their roles
• Identifies opportunities and recommends changes to increase performance, reduce cost, and positively impact HR metrics through analytical approaches, including the tracking of key data and analyzing trends • Manages the Recruiting function
• Ensures all administrative functions, including offer letters/packages, job changes, pay changes, new hire entry, and terminations are entered in a timely and accurate manner
• Assures compliance with all applicable laws and corporate policies/guidelines   


 


 


 


Requirements


 


 


 


EDUCATION:
• Bachelors degree in business, Human Resources, or related field required
• MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field preferred

 
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 10+ years experience in Human Resources (recruiting talent, consulting, employee relations, leadership development, talent development, compensation, etc.) required

SKILLS:
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others across levels and functions while working on multiple tasks
• Ability to assist in the development of others for the future through coaching, constructive feedback, developing and implementing developmental plans, and encouraging others to learn new skills
• Ability to make decisions based on all relevant information and builds recommendations and solves problems, based on this data; may use spreadsheets, performance indicators, or other tools to analyze the data
• Ability to present one’s point of view, builds buy-in for ideas, and negotiates the best solution for the situation
• Values and readily adapts to change; challenges the status quo and champions new initiatives within area of responsibility


 


• Prior experience managing the Recruiting function
• Supports the organization through dignity, respect, integrity, and teamwork• JD Edwards experience preferred
