CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Director, Global Benefits, the Senior Retirement Manager oversees the development and implementation of retirement programs including all qualified, nonqualified plans as well as disability and severance plans. The manager functions as part of a multidisciplinary, global benefit team to develop and deliver proposals for changes and improved performance across the benefit delivery system. It also performs as the retirement plan expert with strong technical expertise with responsibility to address broader areas such as legal compliance, tax for interpretation, forecasting and plan asset changes.The position will serve as the process owner for the delivery or all retirement programs, including proposals for program changes that summarize costs, utilization, vendor performance, trends and program analysis.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV
As MWV’s retirement plan subject matter expert, you’ll manage the implementation strategy and programs for defined benefit, defined contribution and retirement programs. This includes responsibility for the due diligence process related to mergers, acquisitions and divestures related to retirement and severance programs, the development and execution of the communication strategy to educate employees and family members on assigned benefit programs and the selection and assessment of programs, vendors, brokers, consultants and trustees. You’ll work in close partnership with legal, plan administration and program vendors to develop program documents, ensuring validity and compliance of these multiple plans with company practice and federal, state and local laws. This role often participates in the strategic planning, procurement, design and implementation of global benefit programs.Additional responsibilities include:
- Ensuring accuracy of plan records related to participants, corporate governance structure, contribution strategy and retirement planning
- Partnering with actuaries, investment consultants, trustees, record keepers, auditors and attorneys to ensure compliance and financial stability of plans
- Creating and managing process improvement initiatives to ensure a high level of employee understanding and satisfaction
- Using data and metrics for benefits reporting, to facilitate decision-making, and to support the evaluation effectiveness of programs and benefits
- Managing administration and compliance of the severance and disability processes for Enterprise.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s degree and 7-8+ years of experience managing retirement plans (Defined Benefit & Defined Contribution) and vendor service and administration through TPA or similar organization. Multinational experience a plus
- Experience in all phases of DB and DC operations, merger and acquisitions, accounting, record keeping, auditing, compliance testing, processing loans, distributions, etc
- Excellent technical skills, including a thorough understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL requirements and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to partner with multiple business partners and to effectively manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and follow up to ensure execution
- Demonstrated project planning, management, communication, problem analysis, and consultation skills
