We currently have an opening for a Vice President, Benefits in our Human Resources department. This position is responsible for the strategic direction, financial impact, delivery and administration of the Company’s benefits programs.
This includes the research, benchmarking, claims and trends analysis, forecasting, staff/vendor management, and employee communication and education. Ensures the regulatory compliance of all plans including health, welfare, and retirement. Strives to balance the need to offer valuable and competitive programs for employees while effectively managing cost. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions:
Sets the strategic direction for benefit programs and achieves desired expense ratio and financial results. Prepares annual health and welfare budget and works closely with senior management to ensure budget forecasts are consistently met.
Ensures efficient administration of all employee benefit programs including health and welfare, wellness, retirement, and deferred compensation. Establish and implement ongoing procedures to ensure continuous improvement, consistency, accuracy and timeliness in administration.
Responsible for managing healthcare cost through state of the art wellness efforts, program design and vendor management.
Provides strong vendor management leadership to ensure adherence to service levels. Holds regular meetings with vendors and regularly evaluates services. Recommends improvements/changes as necessary.
