JOB DESCRIPTION
Invacare Corporation is the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor in the $8.0 billion worldwide market for medical equipment used in the home. The company designs, manufactures, and distributes an extensive line of health care products for the non-acute care environment, including the home health care, retail, and extended care markets.
Job Summary:
Seeks and leads change and continuous improvement in areas of organizational design, talent acquisition, management development, succession planning, employee recognition and serves as business partner/advisor to the SVP, N.A. Homecare Division.
Essential Functions:
- Design, develop and ensure implementation of strategic and tactical human resource programs focused on meeting the needs of the N.A. Homecare business, including performance management, employee development, succession planning, employee communications, etc.
- Establishes departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the business unit’s strategic goals.
- Ensure employee relations procedures and practices are consistent within business unit and corporate policy.
- Direct the recruiting and hiring efforts for all locations.
- In conjunction with Corporate HR, review/monitor compensation and benefit programs in all locations to determine competitiveness.
- Assess training needs within the organization and ensure the timely and effective delivery of training.
- Monitor and stay abreast of Human Resources concerns and ensure that resulting issues are addressed and resolved.
- Develops a team environment that values diversity and uses various individual’s strengths to the benefit of the team.
- Additional responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications:
- Business Degree in related field or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years experience in Human Resources, with progressively responsible positions, including significant, large human resource division or group role.
- Previous experience developing tactical and strategic employee relations plans to meet the business needs of a growing corporation.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills.
- Must be self-starter, independent, results oriented and professional.
