The Human Resources Manager will provide strategic leadership for the HR and compensation function by leading projects and processes that ensure organizational effectiveness and high-quality customer responsiveness. This is reflected by the following key strategic accountabilities and organizational commitments:


Strategic HR Business Partnership



  • Provide HR consultation to Executive Committee members and senior business leaders around HR solutions to business issues

  • Proactively initiate dialog with management providing counsel and advice on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps.

  • Manage complex employee relation challenges and concerns that could result in legal ramifications or organization exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on established practice


Cross Functional Collaboration/Execution across HR



  • Support deployment of Blackbaud HR programs, including performance management, pay administration and implementation, headcount planning/reporting, retention, career development, employee relations and organization design initiatives, etc.

  • Oversee employee compensation transactions including working with managers and HR members on new hires, promotions, transfers, reassignments, and other related activities.

  • Provide direction related to compensation programs, including base pay, incentive programs, reward and recognition and stock programs of the company that support talent acquisition and retention strategies.


Experience and Skills:



  • Minimum 8 years HR experience, including generalist and compensation experience

  • Demonstrated history of driving change to influence business outcomes

  • Strong critical and conceptual thinking and a results-oriented approach to business

  • Thorough understanding and application of HR principles, concepts, practices and standards

  • Excellent project management skills along with negotiation and mediation skills

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

  • Experience in high-tech/software industry a plus

  • Bachelors degree required

  • MBA or Masters in HR related studies a plus
