JOB DESCRIPTION
Job SummaryThe Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for bringing top talent into the organization by providing deep specialist support and execution of a disciplined approach to talent acquisition.
This position functions as a business partner to senior leadership regarding executive recruitment and placement; leads and develops the Talent Acquisition team; establishes appropriate strategy, and directs processes, measurements and tools that reflect best practices for the function; and develops and maintains relationships internally and with external talent sources.
Job Responsibilities
Area of Responsibility and Key Elements- Talent Acquisition Strategy Development & Plan Implementation
- Creates and leads the Talent Acquisition strategy for company while ensuring alignment to the larger business strategies and objectives. Demonstrates strong business acumen with deep understanding of business drivers
- Provides Talent Acquisition thought leadership. Acts as a strategic business partner, working with senior leaders to develop individual sourcing strategies for executive level recruitment and placement. Effectively executes sourcing strategies.
- Maintains strong links with the Director Talent Management to help drive a seamless and integrated people management approach in the company
- Functional Leadership and Process Development
- Utilizes Talent Acquisition technical knowledge to direct and develop processes, measurements and tools that reflect best practices for the function. Drives process disciplines and improvements.
- Translates data (labor trends, market trends, labor demographics) into relevant business information utilized to drive business decisions. Translates complex data into simple, understandable information.
- Talent Acquisition Staff Capability Building
- Motivates and inspires Talent Acquisition team to achieve high performing results, builds capability in the Talent Acquisition group through targeted development and demonstrates excellent performance management process within the Talent Acquisition team.
- Creates and maintain relationships with other business and HR functions through partnerships to maximize total strategic Talent Management & Talent Acquisition alignment
- Ensures effective staff management and resolves issues as needed
- Relationship Building
- Fosters strong and collaborative working relationships with leaders across the company
- Develops and maintains strong networking relationships with internal customers and external talent sources.
- Demonstrates personal credibility and impact through influencing others, leading people and communicating clearly.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Education level and/or experience
- Strong commercial mindset with approximately 10 years of relevant experience in progressively responsible roles – ideally in CPG companies.
- Bachelors’ degree required; Masters’ degree preferred
- Track record of designing, implementing and leveraging talent acquisition to help drive measurable business results including diversity
- Track record of building sustainable organizational capability in a talent-minded organization
- Successful experience managing long-term projects and change initiatives
- Skills and/or knowledge
- Excellent model of company critical success factors: passion for beer, commitment to customers, bias for action, connection with people, pride and integrity, and thirst for learning.
- Sound knowledge of (and experience in) talent acquisition techniques and best practices
- Deep knowledge of all aspects of executive and professional level recruitment, including executive sourcing
- Relationship building skills with executive management and with external parties
- Excellent analysis and problem solving competence
- Strong people-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, management, and networking/influencing skills – at all levels of an organization – and to both internal and external stakeholders
