VP of HR

A Manufacturing Company located in Birmingham, AL is looking for a VP of Human Resources. Position reports to the President and is responsible for day to day management of the Corporation’s Human Resource activities. The client employs approximately 1,500 employees and is has approximately $500 million in revenue. The ideal candidate must have multi plant experience, union environment experience, and have a manufacturing background.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• VP of HR will provide leadership and direction to the various human resource managers and professionals within the Division and be responsible for supporting the division’s people practices.


• VP of HR will also be responsible for assisting in establishing the Division’s strategic direction, with particular focus on the people programs, and overseeing portions of the implementation of the strategy within the business unit.


•  VP of HR will work closely with the President and other members of the senior leadership team of the division, as well as the corporate human resource group to instill a culture within the organization that focuses on its employees, the communities in which we operate, and the customers that we support to ensure shareholders are appropriately rewarded.

EXPERIENCE

• BS degree Required, Masters is a plus


• Multi plant experience


• Union Experience


• 15 + Years experience


• Must have the ability to plan and direct the work of an administrative staff.
