Northrop Grumman Technical Services sector is seeking a Chief Engineer and Site Coordinator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Play a key role in the planning, implementation and management of the Gradate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS) for the Luke Air Force Base Air Control Squadron (ACS) and the Army Aviation Center of Excellence (AACOE) at Fort Rucker. Primary responsibility will be to solve engineering problems with GTIMS System as they occur in the field during stand-up at two new locations. In this capacity, the Chief Engineer will be solely responsible for the successful stand-up of the ACS at Luke, and significantly responsible for the stand-up of the Fort Rucker ACOE. The Chief Engineer will be responsible or have significant inputs for organizing the stand-ups, defining staffing needs, defining the training needs, producing the training schedule, producing the training documentation, and delivering the training. The training includes flightline training, reports training, academic training, program of instruction training, and software engineering and database management training. Chief Engineer will also have significant input into the Concept of Operation of the Graduate Training Integration Management System at these two new locations. But most importantly, Chief Engineer will be addressing engineering problems as they occur in the field during this stand-up. During the actual stand-up, Chief Engineer will be managing the stand-up staff at Luke AFB, and will have significant management inputs into Fort Rucker stand-up. These will include defining and assigning tasks, and tracking and monitoring of those tasks. Roles and responsibilities: Assist in the planning, management, and budget for the stand-up of the Luke AFB ACS and assist in the planning, management, and budget for the Fort Rucker ACS Solve GTIMS engineering problems as they occur during the subsequent stand-up and sustainment of GTIMS at the two aforementioned locations Be the face of the customer to Luke AFB management Provide Help Desk services and training to personnel at Luke AFB and Fort Rucker Provide over-the-shoulder support to users of GIMS Assist and provide inputs for the development of user training Serve as liaison between Luke AFB Management and Northrop Grumman management, representing Northrop Grumman Recognize Northrop Grumman Business Development opportunities and coordinate with relevant Northrop Grumman personnel Minimum Qualifications: Intimate familiarity with the Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS) Intimate familiarity with Luke AFB operations, especially aviation training operations Acquaintance with key management personnel and decision makers at Luke AFB Excellent interpersonal skills, as this position requires significant interaction with the customer Ability to know what is on contract, and how to deal with the customer on scope of work issues Experience in planning, assessing progress against plan, and to developing remedial measures and plans if necessary Experience in dealing with the implementation of new systems and the resultant impacts on operations and culture - Position requires a Bachelors degree with two years experience with GTIMS. - 9 years of experience are required with a Bachelors degree, 7 years with a Masters, and 4 years experience with a PHD. Preferred Qualifications: Former Air Force Aviator with training background Security Clearance Required
