The Dr. HR for Talent Development will lead programs and initiatives related to talent development including leadership and management development, succession planning, talent management, performance management and high potential tracking including the development of talent metrics to analyze results for the Corporate segment.
This position will partner with HR Business Partners and senior business leaders to develop and execute the talent development initiatives within the Corporate segment utilizing learning tools and processes in order to fully develop management capabilities to achieve maximum business results.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Partner with HR-VP on directing the talent review and succession planning processes. Coordinate and participate in Talent Council meetings and participate in cross-segments talent discussions.
- In partnerships with HR Business Partners, consult with business leaders on identification of high potential talent and development, including the development and execution of IDPs as well as succession planning. Act as the subject matter expert on leadership development for Corporate.
- Direct PMP framework and application with a strong emphasis on goal setting, goal and competency development and assessment, performance evaluation, peer evaluations and individual development in order to be consistent with the business strategy and to maximize business results.
- Work closely with HR Business Partners on furthering the professional development programs within the Corporate Segment.
- Lead and manage the GTSP process for all Corporate functions in collaboration with HR Business Partners, including role-up and preparation for CEO meetings. Work closely with Corporate OD on GTSP process.
- Develop and analyze talent metrics to help measure talent initiatives.
- Work with Corporate OD on the facilitation of DDI 360 degree assessments for high potentials and other key leaders. Work directly with employees and managers on feedback process, development plan and follow-up.
- Bachelors degree required in HR, OD or business-related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive (7-10 years) experience in a senior level HR role.
- An understanding of change management and how to integrate talent management into an organizations strategic objectives.
- Expert knowledge in performance management and succession planning processes.
- Strong ability to communicate with and influence senior management on issues of organizational development and talent management.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy to development plans.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to execute large-scale initiatives in a complex, matrix environment.
- Strategic, creative and innovative thinking skills, along with high intellect and sound judgment.
- A strong customer service orientation is critical.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
