JOB DESCRIPTION
Description Serves as the staff officer responsible for developing, staffing, managing and documenting the key events, initiatives, and activities that provide the DoD CI & HUMINT Enterprise with valuable "Lessons Learned" that can enable CI/HUMINT leaders the ability to recognize and appreciate the best practices and significant lessons learned during the conduct of field CI/HUMINT operations. These lessons learned can be made available via web-based applications across the community and can quickly lead to more aggressive, efficient, and effects-based CI/HUMINT operations/activities around the world. In addition to the establishment of initial data, the staff officer will provide training on the use of such Lessons Learned & Knowledge Base collection systems, in-depth analysis of the information, dissemination to CI/HUMINT Community at large, reach-back assistance as needed, and support of forums where CI/HUMINT lessons learned and best practices are debated and reviewed. The staff officer will provide dynamic, relevant, comprehensive staff support to the help identify, tag, and track DoD CI/HUMIT gaps and seams that will allow CI/HUMINT Enterprise leaders to make adjustments to their field activities to correct these deficiencies and better protect the nation and its warfighting elements. Requires knowledge and experience in tactical/operational HUMINT activities (non-strategic) operations, management, planning, and support. Requires ability to assist DoD CI/HUMINT Enterprise leaders in managing the Tactical/Operational HUMINT Lessons Learned and Knowledge Base development program to include collection of field operational data, best practices, tradecraft effectiveness, and support activities. Must possess Tactical/Operational HUMINT experience, staff officer skills, written and oral English communications skills, ability to think creatively when approaching challenges and issues. Requires interpersonal skills, briefing skills, and the ability to work as part of an agency team and effectively collaborate with a wide variety of IC member agencies. Proficient in use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of related Tactical/Operational HUMINT experience. Requires Top Secret clearance and current eligibility for SCI access. Current CI polygraph desirable or must be willing to undergo CI polygraph.
