As part of the Fort Lewis Battle Command Training Center (BCTC) contract staff, functions as a member of the Leader Development Team. Performs a variety of planning, analysis, and training functions, including data base management and the development, coordination, and execution of training activities. Facilitates the use of BCTC resources by commanders, staff principals, other leaders and potential leaders as tools for leader development and leader-team training through a variety of live, virtual, constructive, and gaming activities. Duties include conducting leadership and leader-team training activities, performing video interviews with returning combat veterans, and creating computer-based distributed, or distance learning leader development products. Also functions as advisor/mentor to unit leaders. Available to travel world-wide, as necessary, and to perform other analyst and training duties as required.
.Shall possess a BS or BA degree, have a background of at least eight years experience as U.S. Army officer or non-commissioned officer, and should have completed Intermediate Level Education (ILE), or Sergeants Major Academy (SMA) or equivalent. Must have experience in operations and training at brigade level or higher. Must understand the processes involved in the application of combat power as defined by the Army Warfighting Functions. Working knowledge of MS Windows and Office. Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Ability to perform tasks under deadlines and work independently. Excellent reasoning and problem solving skills and high degree of attention to detail. Ability to work with senior government and industry officials; possess excellent oral and written skills.
