Staffing Consultant
The Entertainment & Devices Division is looking for a senior level Staffing Consultant to drive hiring for Microsoft’s Mobile Communication Business. This position will drive staffing strategy and own end-to-end recruiting results for a range of complex/critical technical positions. You will have the opportunity to partner with senior business leaders to design innovative hiring plans that are customized and meet the needs of the division. Responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with HR Generalists, Finance, College Staffing, Executive Recruiting, and Staffing Manager to drive short and long term staffing forecasts, planning, and reporting
• Proactively partner with client group to build staffing plans and lead the group’s staffing initiatives
• Understand clients’ technical/functional hiring needs and translate those needs into effective candidate generation plans for both passive and active candidates
• Advise senior leadership on strategic staffing issues, consult to clients on external and internal hiring process and policy, and provide expertise on external recruiting
• Proactively conduct research and advise client groups about industry talent trends and availability and effectively hire from the applicable industry talent marketplace(s)
• Monitor and analyze staffing information to identify trends and opportunities and recommend actions to improve client group’s hiring capability and/or results
• Build and maintain relationships with high quality talent pools for short and long term needs
• Design and implement interviewing processes that maximize efficiencies, establish accountabilities, and enable predictability
• Screen and assess candidates for availability, interest level, eligibility to work in the US, salary expectations, relocation needs, some technical skills, and core competencies
• Understand candidate needs and career goals, be a compensation and staffing expert and a consultant to the client groups to successfully close candidates
• Ensure that every candidate has a world class experience
Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA degree or equivalent
• 7+ years of staffing/recruiting experience requiring account management and candidate generation, preferably in the software industry
• 7-10+ years of business experience, preferably in an HR and/or Staffing/Recruiting role(s)
• Proven success in developing short and long term staffing forecasts and plans for complex organizations and in partnership with multiple stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and reporting staffing, candidate, and industry trends and recommending actions
• Experience in industry research and building knowledge of talent markets
• Proven ability to build and maintain candidate pipelines, including using relationship management techniques, that yielded high quality candidates for short and long term hiring needs
• Has monitored staffing activity and implemented solutions to enable improvements
• Superb customer focus, attention to detail, and organization skills
• Ability to interact at all levels of the organization
• Ability to implement targeted sourcing initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong productive relationships
