The VP, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) provides strategic goals and leadership in developing an integrated HR organization-wide application. The incumbent identifies opportunities to enhance or create an HR platform that will add value to the services provided by HR generalists and specialists. Essential Accountability Strategic Planning and Strategy
- Set strategy for all global HRIS solutions including HCM, HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Compliance. Envision fabric of tools and processes to ensure flexibility, adoptability, compliance, and extensibility.
- Establish and manage ongoing Voice of Customer (VOC) teams to ensure business needs are incorporated into process design and enhancements.
- Solicit and select vendors, manage the engagement and ongoing vendor relationships.
- Serve as key relationship contact to HRIS vendors to ensure ongoing partnership on enhancements, leveraging industry practices and customer experiences.
System Implementation
- In near term, (2009-2011) serve as program leader for the HR Talent Management Roadmap
- Design and implement innovative and integrated HRIS applications to achieve operational efficiencies in Talent management, HR Data management and HR programs.
- Lead application initiative through centralized project management office and collaborate with key HR managers to identify requirements in specific generalist and specialist areas.
- Research potential vendors, direct the sourcing and negotiate the purchase of HR Enterprise System suite based on requirements.
On-going Operations
- Establish and maintain key operational excellence measures around global HRIS platform (ERP, TM, Reporting)
- Develop policy, procedures and practices ensuring alignment of business rules and controls within all applications
- Manager HRIS administration for all global HR applications including managing upgrades, updates and operational SLAs.
- Review for system improvements and updates.
- Address needs for additional applications as warranted by HR services.
- Determine yearly budget for system maintenance and additional programs.
- Security and Government Regulations
- Ensure data security in compliance with internal MHP standards and US and Non-US government regulations (i.e., Sarbanes-Oxley, European Union).
Maintain security tree hierarchy. Lead a $15 million+ global enterprise-wide program for corporation of 22,000 employees Manages HRIS platform of over eight global enterprise-wide and 20+ local applications Qualifications
- Twelve to fifteen years of direct HRIS experience in expanding roles
- Have an innovative HRIS approach and be fluent in cutting edge technology
- Experience in Portal and Knowledgebase delivery for HR
- Successfully led a Talent-based roadmap or transformation project.
- Ability to effectively communicate to vendors, management and employees
- Financial and budgeting experience
- Solid awareness of tax and regulatory environment and thorough understanding of MHP Data Security Policy
- An advanced business degree or equivalent
