Lead Training Coordinator

The Lead Training Coordinator will lead the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of training programs in power system operations.

Responsibilities:
• Analyzing requirements, designing, developing and implementing classroom training and testing programs using a variety of instructional media
• Analyzing requirements, designing and developing training, instructional guides and evaluated scenarios for the dispatch training simulator
• Analyzing, developing, and implementing On-The-Job (OJT) components of training programs and guides and Job Performance Measures (JPM)
• Creating training processes and methodology to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Education, Scientific Discipline or equivalent required, an advanced degree desired
• 5+ years experience in control room operations or bulk power system operations
• Demonstrated experience working with Training Simulators and developing system operations training scenarios
• Proficient in use of Energy Management System (EMS) applications such as Real-Time and Study Contingency Analysis, State Estimation, Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Power Flow Applications and Network Topology Modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training and professionally interact with diverse groups on a wide range of technical matters is required.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
• Experience using the systematic approach to training (SAT), or similar methods.
• Prior experience as a System Operator in ISO control room operations would be a plus

Note:  NERC System Operator Certification must be obtained within one year of employment
