Closely monitor area performance as it pertains to category initiatives, segmentation, sales performance, as well as localized and national market trends. Adjust strategy accordingly based on analysis, driving success and ensuring alignment with core us foods strategies and local area needs and strategies.
Maintain lead role in consistently gathering local market data for multiple DCs in assigned Area (including trends) through feedback and intelligence from culinary team, sales staff, and vendor partners. Report new product opportunities and provide data on competitors. Finalize Area assortmEnt and core complement and exception skus.
Lead the effort to drive exclusive brand (eb) penetration across the category by ensuring eb products are primary considerations in the development and implementation of category strategy. Measure customer and eb penetration of assigned category and benchmark against our industry.
Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of the customer service team and relevant service and systems. Develop and implement customer service procedures as necessary. Coordinate activities with other departments to meet customer needs.

Assist in coordinating product cuttings and demonstrations; develop sales and marketing strategies and proposals for customers on products and services, conducting market research to determine customer needs and provide information to sales staff.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and product developments that affect target markets, establishing and maintaining industry contacts that lead to prospective sales; evaluate product mix in terms of meeting customers' needs.
Guide operations management in compliance with government and other regulatory agency guidelines and laws and company programs. Implement programs to ensure overall safety, security, maintenance and ergonomics for the operations functions.
Delegate responsibility to managers to accomplish productivity goals. Enforce distribution center/company policies on safety and employee discipline by following guidelines, communicate changes to the workforce and oversee work and performance of day warehouse associates. Create performance improvement plans, administer discipline, and identify training opportunities when appropriate.
